When I went to Vietnam last September, I found out that about 1 thing: The Vietnamese were not familiar with Path!
So… I decided to write about Path, a social media platform (and application). Keep scrolling!
What is it?
Path is a social media platform which is accessible via web and phone. The full features are available only at phone – the web version can only be used for viewing and editing the user’s profile.
The latest version of Path consists of 4 main pages:
It shows the updated moments (or status, as in Facebook) of your friends and you in chronological order. You can give a like or comment to your friends’ posts. The Like button has 5 options of response.
When you are about to post something, you’ll start from this page.
As you can see, there are 5 options to post your moments, from left to right:
1. Music/movie you are playing
2. Location check in
3. Photo/video upload
4. Quote/text posting
5. Awake/sleeping posting
This page shows the notifications of ypur friends’ responses towards your moments. When you are tagged or mentioned in someone’s moment, all responses towards those moments will also appear at this page.
At this page, you can see all Friend Requests which are waiting for your approval. And also the list of your current friends and the feature to Add Friends.
You can see the grey stars next to each friend’s name. The stars will turn yellow once you click on it. The yellow starred friends will be listed as your Inner Circle Friends.
The Moments page is your account’s timeline. No need for further explanation because I’m sure that you already know how it works.
Tops and Flops
Path is somehow a mix of its social media fellows: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. The photo/video uploader is completed with Filter feature.
You can post anything there, publicly or limited to your inner circle.
The bad thing about Path is – first of all – the download size. It’s pretty big!
This application loads very slow compared to its seniors due to the load capacity required by the app.
It’s hard to find an old post due to the loading capacity.
Install the App!
You can find the application for Android via Google Play by clicking HERE.
Enjoy the application!
